Crocus Grand Maitre is a classic, large-flowered crocus with beautiful soft blue blooms that appear in early spring. Flowering in March and April, these bee-friendly blooms bring a welcome burst of colour after the winter months. Their elegant chalice-shaped flowers contrast strikingly with their orange stamens, creating a bright and cheerful display in rockeries, lawns, borders, or containers.

Highly reliable and excellent for naturalising, Crocus Grand Maitre will return year after year, spreading gently to create carpets of colour. Thriving in well-drained soil with plenty of sunlight, they are easy to grow and perfect for both beginners and experienced gardeners. When planted in groups, they provide an outstanding display and are especially attractive to pollinators.

Aftercare
Plant from July onwards in well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot. Space corms 5–7cm apart and cover with 7–10cm of soil. For protection against pests, place wire netting just under the soil surface to deter mice and squirrels. Allow foliage to die back naturally to feed the corms for next year’s growth.
