Support Strong Roots and Healthier Growth Naturally
Westland Bone Meal Natural Root Builder 4kg is a naturally sourced plant feed designed to promote strong root development and long-term plant health. With a balanced combination of nitrogen for healthy green growth, phosphorus to encourage bigger, stronger roots and calcium to support overall plant strength, this traditional feed releases nutrients slowly into the soil for efficient uptake over time. It is ideal for improving soil fertility while helping plants establish and thrive.

Perfect for use on trees, shrubs, hedges and root vegetables, Westland Bone Meal can be applied as both a base dressing when planting or as a top dressing for established plants. Its steady nutrient release supports consistent growth throughout the season, making it a reliable choice for maintaining healthy plants in Irish gardens.

Key Features
Westland Bone Meal provides up to five weeks of nutrient release, delivering long-lasting feeding directly to plant roots. It is rich in essential nutrients and can be used as both a plant feed and a soil improver. The formulation promotes strong, healthy root systems and supports greener, more vigorous foliage across a wide range of plants.

Why Use?
This natural root builder is ideal for gardeners who want to improve soil quality while encouraging deeper, stronger rooting. By supporting root development, plants are better able to absorb water and nutrients, resulting in healthier growth above ground. It is particularly beneficial for trees, shrubs and hedging, as well as root vegetables where strong root formation is essential.

What to Expect
With regular use, plants develop stronger root systems and show improved vigour and foliage colour. Soil structure and fertility are gradually improved, helping plants establish more effectively and maintain steady growth throughout the growing season.

When to Use
Apply Westland Bone Meal every 4 to 6 weeks from February through to the end of October to maintain good soil fertility and support ongoing plant growth.

How to Use
Bone Meal can be applied as a top dressing by sprinkling evenly over the soil surface or as a base dressing by working it into the soil with a spade or hoe. For young plants, dig into the planting hole using two handfuls, approximately 70g. For established plants, sprinkle around the base and water in using four to five handfuls per square metre, around 140–175g. As a soil improver, fork into the soil at a rate of three to four handfuls per square metre, approximately 105–140g. Water before and after application during dry conditions.

Safety Information
Always read the product label before use and refer to the Safety Data Sheet for full details. Do not exceed the recommended application rates as overuse may damage plants. Store in a dry, frost-free place away from children, pets and food. Wash hands after use and wear gloves when handling. Treated land should not be used for grazing or feed cropping within two months for pigs and three weeks for other farmed animals. Children and pets can use treated areas immediately after application, but mix well into the soil to prevent dogs from being attracted to the product.
