Ideal for use in beds, borders, containers, and hanging baskets, it feeds plants for up to six weeks, ensuring strong root development and healthy growth.

Why Choose Multi-Purpose Compost with Added John Innes?
This premium compost is designed to support plants at every stage of growth. The addition of John Innes enhances structure and moisture retention, making it suitable for growing seeds, cuttings, bedding plants, and potting on. Whether you’re planting in containers, hanging baskets, or garden beds, this nutrient-rich blend ensures optimal growing conditions.

Encouraging Healthy Growth & Strong Root Development
The carefully balanced formula promotes robust plant health, aiding in root establishment and reducing transplant shock. It retains moisture while ensuring good drainage, preventing waterlogging and encouraging vigorous growth. The slow-release nutrients provide continuous feeding for up to six weeks, supporting the development of flowers, fruits, and foliage.

How to Use for Seedlings & Pricking Out
Once seedlings are large enough to handle, gently tease them from the compost, holding them by the leaves to avoid damage. Use a dibber or pencil to lift the roots carefully. Space the seedlings apart to allow room for growth, then water regularly until they are ready for potting on.

How to Use for Potting
Before potting, water the plant thoroughly and allow it to drain. Choose a container with adequate drainage and add compost, leaving enough space to accommodate the roots. Remove the plant from its original pot and place it in the new container, firming the compost gently around the roots. Water well after planting.

How to Use for Cuttings
Fill a seed tray with compost, firm it down lightly, and water. Take a non-flowering cutting, making a sloping cut just below a leaf node, and remove the bottom leaves. Dip the cut end into hormone rooting powder before inserting it into the compost. Create a hole with a dibber or pencil, place the cutting inside, and firm the compost around it. Cover the tray with polythene or glass to maintain humidity and position it in a warm spot away from direct sunlight until the cuttings root.

How to Use for Hanging Baskets
Line the hanging basket with moss or a liner and fill it with compost. Arrange trailing plants around the outer edge and place upright plants in the center. Water thoroughly after planting to establish roots.

Tips for Best Results
Ensure good drainage in containers and baskets to prevent overwatering. Feed plants regularly after six weeks to maintain strong, healthy growth. Keep cuttings in a warm, sheltered location for successful rooting.

Storage & Safety Advice
Store in a cool, dry place away from garden chemicals. Reseal the bag after use to maintain compost quality. Always wear gloves when handling compost and wash hands afterward.
