Keep Your Plum, Damson & Gage Trees Protected from Moth Damage
The Growing Success Plum Maggot Trap Refill Kit is designed to keep your plum, damson, and gage trees protected from damage caused by fruit moths. The refill kit contains a pheromone-based lure and sticky insert, providing the necessary components to refresh your existing plum maggot trap and continue monitoring moth activity. It prevents future maggot damage by catching male moths before they can lay eggs on the trees.

Why Use Growing Success Plum Maggot Trap Refill Kit?
The primary cause of maggot damage in plums, damsons, and gages is the caterpillars that hatch from eggs laid by the female plum fruit moth. By using the Growing Success Plum Maggot Trap, you can monitor male moths and take action before they can damage your fruit. This refill kit ensures that your trap continues to work effectively, providing a cost-efficient and sustainable solution for managing pest infestations. It is suitable for organic gardening and will not attract beneficial insects.

Where to Use
The refill kit is designed for use with the Growing Success Plum Maggot Trap, which can be placed around plum, damson, and gage trees. This trap helps to protect your fruit trees from maggot damage by monitoring moth populations.

How to Use
To use the refill kit, unfold the sticky insert and open the sachet containing the pheromone lure. Place the lure in the middle of the sticky trap and insert it with the sticky side facing up. Hang the trap at head height on the windward side of the tree. The trap can monitor moths for up to three average-sized trees spaced 12 meters apart. Regularly inspect the traps and replace the sticky insert and monitoring lure after 6 weeks. If more than 12 moths are trapped per week, apply a suitable insecticide. Remove the trap in early September and dispose of the sticky insert and lure.

When to Use
Place the trap in the garden starting in mid-May, when male moths begin flying and mating on warm nights. Continue monitoring until September when the trap should be removed. This will help prevent maggot damage to your fruit trees throughout the season.

Safety Information
Growing Success Plum Maggot Trap Refill Kit is designed to be safe for use around your garden, and it will not attract beneficial insects. It is an eco-friendly solution for pest control that can be used in organic gardening.
