Scilla Litardierei
Scilla litardierei is a beautiful late spring flowering bulb producing airy clusters of delicate star-shaped lavender-blue flowers held above slender green foliage. Flowering from May to June and reaching approximately 15cm in height, this elegant variety brings long-lasting colour to borders, rockeries, meadows and woodland-style gardens. Less common than many Scilla varieties, it naturalises gradually to create attractive drifts that become more impressive each year.
Thriving in full sun or partial shade, Scilla litardierei prefers well-drained soil and is easy to grow. Once established, it spreads gently through the garden, making it an excellent choice for natural planting schemes while also providing a valuable nectar source for bees and other pollinating insects.
