Iris Reticulata J S Dijt
Iris Reticulata J.S. Dijt is a compact, early‑flowering iris that brings vivid colour to the garden at the tail end of winter. The rich purple petals with darker falls are highlighted by golden markings, creating a striking display when little else is in bloom. Ideal for rockeries, pots, and the front of borders, these little gems flower reliably from February to March.
Easy to grow and long‑lived, J.S. Dijt thrives in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with well‑drained, humus‑rich soil. It naturalises neatly, returning each year in small clumps. For a cheerful “winter corner”, plant alongside Anemone blanda, Chionodoxa, Snowdrops and Winter Aconites.

Aftercare
Plant from August onwards, 7–8cm deep in free‑draining, humus‑rich soil in sun or partial shade. Water lightly while establishing, then allow the soil to dry in summer dormancy. Let foliage die back naturally to feed the bulbs for the following year; avoid lifting unless clumps become overcrowded.
