Eucomis Comosa
Eucomis comosa, commonly known as the Pineapple Lily, is an exotic and architectural summer-flowering bulb that adds a striking focal point to borders and containers. From July to September, it produces dense spikes of star-shaped, creamy flowers topped with a leafy crown, giving it its distinctive pineapple-like appearance. The flowers rise above attractive green foliage on richly coloured purple stems, creating a bold and unusual display.
Compact yet eye-catching, Eucomis comosa is ideal for sheltered garden borders, patio containers, and decorative planting schemes. Its tropical appearance makes it especially effective when combined with summer bedding or other exotic-style plants.
