Begonia Red Cascading boasts large, pendulous red flowers, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets. Blooming from July onwards, this variety adds bold, vibrant colour to your garden, patio, or balcony. With a growth height of 20 cm (8 inches), it’s ideal for hanging baskets, window boxes, and containers.
Plant Begonia Red Cascading in rich, moist, well-drained soil. While it thrives in semi-shaded spots, it will also bloom well in full sun. Place the tubers on the surface of the soil, spaced 5 cm (2 inches) apart. You can begin planting from April onwards, after the danger of frost has passed.
For earlier blooms, plant the tubers closely together in trays filled with damp compost and sand. Keep the temperature between 7-16ºC (45-60ºF) to encourage early sprouting. Once frost is no longer a concern, move the begonias outdoors for a stunning display of cascading red flowers.
