Allium Party Balloons is an impressive ornamental onion variety, producing spectacular globe-shaped flower heads up to 20cm in diameter. Each bloom is made up of hundreds of tiny star-like lavender-purple flowers, creating a striking architectural feature in the summer garden. Flowering from June to August, these dramatic blooms rise on sturdy stems to a height of 55cm, making them ideal for adding structure and vertical interest to borders. Aftercare
Plant bulbs in autumn, around 15cm deep, in well-drained soil in a sunny location. Water well after planting. Allow foliage to die back naturally to feed the bulb for the following year. Once dried, seed heads can be left for structural interest or cut for indoor display.
