The hymenocallis is also called 'the spider lily' and is a remarkable plant whose stamens are connected by a membrane at the base. This flower has a story to tell: hymenocallis, also known as the peruvian lily, the flowers of these tropical bulbs have a daffodil-like cup, surrounded by long, spidery petals. Each stem sports up to five fragrant, pure white blooms. Grow hymenocallis in pots so you can enjoy having the plants nearby when they come into flower.
