Begonia Aromantics is a fragrant pendula variety with pastel-colored blooms that bring both beauty and a delightful scent to your garden. Flowering from July onwards, this variety grows to a height of 30 cm (12 inches), making it ideal for flower beds, borders, containers on patios and balconies, and as a houseplant.
Plant the tubers on the surface of rich, moist garden soil with good drainage, spacing them 5 cm (2 inches) apart. While Begonias thrive in semi-shaded areas, they will also bloom beautifully in full sun, offering flexibility in planting locations.
For early flowering, place the tubers close together and level with the soil in trays filled with damp compost and sand. Maintain a temperature of 7–16ºC (45–60ºF). Once all danger of frost has passed, transplant the sprouted tubers into your garden or containers.
Expert Tip: To enhance flowering, regularly water your begonias, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Deadheading spent flowers will encourage continuous blooms and maintain their delicate, fragrant appeal.
