Aftercare
Remove faded flowers after blooming to prevent seed production, but allow the foliage to die back naturally so the bulbs can replenish their energy for the following season. Tulips perform best in fertile, free-draining soil and should not be left in waterlogged ground during winter. In heavier soils, bulbs can be lifted once the foliage has died back, stored in a cool, dry place and replanted in autumn.
