Inspired by the gentle charm of a traditional country garden, the Hug Rug x Sally Swannell Vegetable Patch Runner turns an everyday practical mat into a beautifully illustrated feature for the home. Created in collaboration with British artist Sally Swannell, the design draws inspiration from her grandmother’s vegetable garden, recalling childhood days spent planting, digging and watching garden visitors appear amongst the plants.

The detailed artwork depicts three productive vegetable patches climbing traditional supports, accompanied by delicate flowers, a blackbird and a rabbit. Soft greens, earthy tones and a pale blue background give the runner a wonderfully natural character that works particularly well in kitchens, hallways, utility rooms and entrance areas.

Part of the Hug Rug Aura collection, this 65 x 150cm runner is made in Britain from recycled nylon and has a soft, comfortable finish underfoot. Despite its softness, it is designed for hardworking areas of the home, trapping up to 95% of dirt, mud and moisture.

A non-slip rubber backing made using recycled plastic helps keep the runner securely in position. When it needs refreshing, it can simply be machine washed at 30°C and is quick drying, making it particularly practical for busy homes.
