The Record Potato is a heritage maincrop variety with smooth, light beige skin, known for its excellent flavor and versatility. It is ideal for baking, chipping, boiling, mashing, and roasting, making it a popular choice for home gardeners and cooks alike.

To grow Record Potatoes, plant the seed potatoes in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil with plenty of organic material. Position them in full sun, ensuring they are spaced 30 cm (12 inches) apart with rows about 60 cm (24 inches) apart. Plant seed potatoes at a depth of approximately 10 cm (4 inches) and cover with soil. As the plants grow, mound soil around the base to protect developing tubers from light exposure, which can turn them green.

Harvesting typically occurs about 20 weeks after planting, once the foliage starts to yellow and die back. Carefully lift the potatoes with a fork to avoid damaging the skins. Allow them to dry for a few hours in a shaded area before storing in a cool, dark, and dry location. Properly stored, Records Potatoes can last for several months.
