Gladiolus Byzantinus

€5.95

Gladiolus Byzantinus is a hardy spring flowering gladiolus producing elegant spikes of rich magenta-purple, trumpet-shaped blooms held above slender sword-like foliage. Flowering from May to June and reaching approximately 60cm in height, this striking variety adds vibrant colour and height to borders, cottage gardens and naturalised planting schemes. Unlike many gladioli, it is winter hardy in suitable conditions and will return to flower year after year.

Perfect for sunny gardens, Gladiolus Byzantinus thrives in fertile, well-drained soil and looks particularly effective planted in groups among herbaceous perennials. Its long-lasting flowers are also excellent for cutting, bringing bold colour and graceful form indoors.
