Allium Nigrum
Allium Nigrum is an elegant ornamental onion producing broad, rounded flower heads packed with creamy white star-shaped blooms, each highlighted by a distinctive deep green centre. Flowering from May to June and reaching approximately 70cm in height, this striking variety adds architectural beauty to borders, cottage gardens and naturalistic planting schemes. Its refined flowers pair beautifully with late spring and early summer perennials while attracting bees and other beneficial pollinators.
Thriving in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, Allium Nigrum is a hardy and reliable performer that returns year after year. The long-lasting blooms are excellent for cutting, while the seed heads continue to provide interest after flowering has finished.
