Tulip Queen Of Night
The Tulip Queen of Night is one of the most dramatic and striking tulip varieties, renowned for its deep, velvety, almost black-purple blooms. With a satin sheen that catches the light beautifully, these tulips bring sophistication and mystery to the spring garden. Flowering in April and May, they stand tall on strong stems reaching up to 60 cm, making them a superb choice for borders, formal beds, and cut flower arrangements.
Perfect when planted in groups, Queen of Night tulips create a bold statement on their own or a stunning contrast when paired with lighter-coloured tulips such as whites, pinks, or yellows. Hardy and reliable, they thrive in well-drained soil and are best positioned in sunny spots, though blooms last longer with partial shade.

Aftercare
Plant from August onwards, 15 cm deep and 10 cm apart, in well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded location. Remove faded flower heads to strengthen bulbs. Allow foliage to die back naturally to feed the bulbs for the following year. Avoid planting tulips in the same location consecutively to reduce soil issues.
