Inspired by peaceful spring days beside the water, the Hug Rug x Sally Swannell Duck House Mat captures an idyllic countryside scene filled with ducks, ducklings and a charming waterside duck house. Rich green foliage, yellow flowers and the spreading branches of a mature tree create a wonderfully detailed design with a nostalgic rural character.

The artwork draws on Sally Swannell’s childhood memories of time spent beside a chalk stream, watching ducks bob across the water while the breeze moved through the surrounding rushes. Those memories are translated into a gentle, storybook-like scene that makes this mat particularly suited to country-inspired kitchens, hallways, utility rooms and entranceways.

Part of Hug Rug’s Aura collection, the 65 x 85cm mat has a super-soft recycled nylon surface designed to trap up to 95% of dirt, mud and moisture. A recycled rubber non-slip backing helps keep it securely positioned in busy areas of the home, while the hard-wearing construction is designed for regular everyday use.

The mat is machine washable at 30°C and quick drying, making it easy to keep fresh and clean throughout the year. A matching Duck House Runner is also available for coordinating larger spaces.
