Dahlia Crème De Cassis (Select from Taylor's Range)
€7.95
The Dahlia Crème de Cassis is a beautiful pale lilac variety with a purple edge and centre, known for its excellent cut flowers. It blooms all summer long and grows to a height of 70 cm (28 inches), adding a touch of elegance to your garden.
Planting depth: Plant tubers 15 cm (6 inches) deep, spaced 90 cm (36 inches) apart. Start planting in March onwards.
Uses: Ideal for borders, bedding, and as cut flowers, this variety can also be grown in containers on patios or balconies.
Expert Tip: Dahlias thrive in well-cultivated garden soil enriched with organic material and prefer sunny spots away from strong winds. For early flowering, start the tubers indoors in April with light soil mixed with compost. Keep them slightly moist, cool, and free from frost. Once the danger of frost has passed, plant out the sprouted tubers. For cut flowers, wait until they are fully developed before cutting.
