Begonia Picotee Mixed is a stunning flower bulb variety featuring large, showy blooms in a vibrant mix of colours. Flowering begins in July and lasts through the season, with plants reaching a height of 25 cm (10 inches).

To grow Begonia Picotee Mixed, select a semi-shaded location with rich, moist, and well-drained soil. While they prefer partial shade, these begonias will also thrive in full sun. Plant the bulbs on the soil surface, leaving the tops exposed, and space them 5 cm (2 inches) apart. Planting should commence in April, once all danger of frost has passed.

For an early display of flowers, place the tubers close together in trays filled with damp compost and sand. Keep them in a location with a temperature of 7-16ºC (45-60ºF) to encourage sprouting. When frost is no longer a threat, transfer the sprouted tubers to their outdoor growing positions.
