This amazing narcissus produces large lumescent double flowers that really glow in the mid-spring garden. Just like a glass of orange juice first thing in the morning. These happy blooms will brighten up your borders and bouquets with vibrant color and a unique look. Impressive when planted in groups: they are ideal for planting in garden, pots or containers.
Before planting your bulbs cultivate soils to a depth of 15cms if possible. Plant the Narcissi 10cms deep and 10cms apart. The smaller bulbs should be planted slightly shallower at a depth of 5-8cms. When planting in containers the planting depth can be reduced to fit with the container type if required. Plant in soils that are free draining and in heavier soils such as clay, add grit or well-rotted humus matter to help with drainage. In sandy soils add organic matter to help with fertility. Protect early growth in the spring from slugs and snails and remove dead heads after flowering to get the best from them.
