Elephant Garlic is a unique and highly productive variety that produces enormous bulbs with a wonderfully mild, delicate garlic flavour. Although closely related to leeks rather than true garlic, it offers a subtle taste that is perfect for roasting whole, slicing into salads or adding to a wide variety of cooked dishes without overpowering other ingredients.

Easy to grow and exceptionally rewarding, Elephant Garlic develops vigorous plants and impressive bulbs that can be several times larger than traditional garlic. Suitable for planting from autumn through to early spring, it performs well in Irish gardens, raised beds and allotments, making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced growers.
