Allium Gladiator is one of the most impressive ornamental onions, producing giant spherical flower heads up to 20cm across in a stunning shade of mauve-purple. Each globe consists of hundreds of tiny star-shaped flowers that stand proudly on tall, strong stems, making a dramatic architectural feature in any garden. These long-lasting blooms are perfect for adding height and structure to borders, and they are also highly attractive to bees and pollinators.

A proud RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, Allium Gladiator is ideal for planting in groups for maximum impact, where their towering height creates a striking backdrop. They are easy to grow, preferring well-drained soil in full sun, and return reliably year after year. Not only do they make excellent cut flowers, but their seed heads can also be dried for long-lasting indoor arrangements.
