Leucojum Aestivum
Leucojum Aestivum, commonly known as Summer Snowflake, is a graceful spring flowering bulb producing elegant clusters of nodding white bell-shaped flowers, each delicately tipped with fresh green markings. Flowering during May and reaching approximately 40cm in height, this charming variety brings a natural woodland feel to borders, damp gardens and pond edges. Its strong, reliable nature makes it an excellent choice for naturalising, returning year after year with increasing displays.
Thriving in moist, fertile soil, Leucojum Aestivum performs best in partial shade but is equally happy in sunny positions where the soil remains consistently moist. Its refined blooms pair beautifully with ferns, hostas and other woodland perennials, adding understated elegance to the late spring garden.
