Snowdrops 'Galanthus'
Galanthus Snowdrops are one of the first signs that spring is on its way, producing delicate nodding white bell-shaped flowers that often emerge while winter is still lingering. Flowering from February to March and reaching approximately 10cm in height, these charming bulbs are perfect for naturalising beneath deciduous trees, in woodland gardens, lawns, rockeries and shaded borders, where they will multiply steadily over the years.
Commonly known as Snowdrops, Galanthus thrive in moisture-retentive, well-drained soil and prefer partial shade, although they will also grow happily in full sun. Their elegant white blooms brighten the garden when little else is flowering and provide an important early source of nectar for pollinating insects.
