Beetroot Beta Vulgaris Jolie F1

€4.95
Beetroot Jolie F1 from Thompson & Morgan is a premium hybrid variety that produces smooth, uniform roots with an exceptional sweet and earthy flavour. This high-yielding beetroot is known for its tender, deep-red flesh, making it perfect for roasting, pickling, or grating into fresh salads. The roots are accompanied by vibrant, dark green foliage that can also be used as a nutritious addition to dishes. With excellent resistance to bolting and disease, Jolie F1 is a reliable choice for gardeners seeking a hassle-free, high-quality crop.

Sowing Instructions:
Sow Beetroot Jolie F1 seeds directly outdoors from March to July in a sunny position with well-drained, fertile soil. Prepare the soil by removing stones and adding compost or organic matter for improved fertility. Sow seeds thinly in rows 2.5 cm deep and 30 cm apart. Once seedlings appear (in 7-14 days), thin them out to 10 cm apart to allow space for the roots to develop.

For a continuous harvest, sow seeds every 2-3 weeks. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, to keep the soil moist and ensure tender, sweet roots. The beetroots are ready to harvest from June onwards when they reach a diameter of about 5-7 cm. For the best taste and texture, avoid leaving the roots in the ground too long after they’ve matured.

This versatile, easy-to-grow variety offers a bountiful harvest and performs well in gardens or containers. Beetroot Jolie F1 is perfect for both beginner and experienced gardeners, providing a delicious and nutritious addition to any meal.
