Allium Cristophii is a spectacular ornamental allium that produces enormous spherical flower heads up to 20cm across, made up of dozens of shimmering star-shaped lilac-purple florets. Flowering during May and June, this striking variety reaches approximately 50cm in height and creates a dramatic architectural display in borders, gravel gardens and cottage gardens. Its eye-catching blooms are also excellent for cutting and can be dried for long-lasting indoor arrangements.

Aftercare
Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering so the bulbs can replenish their energy for the following year. Plant amongst later-emerging perennials to help disguise the fading foliage while enjoying reliable displays each spring.
