Allium Christophii, also known as the Star of Persia, is a spectacular ornamental onion with large, spherical heads of star-shaped pale lilac flowers. Each globe can reach up to 20cm across, creating a striking focal point in the garden. Flowering in May and June, this variety is not only dramatic and long-lasting but also highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. A proud holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is celebrated for its reliability and outstanding garden performance.

Perfect for planting in groups, Allium Christophii thrives in well-drained soil and sunny locations, though blooms will last longer in partial shade. Ideal for borders, it also naturalises well, returning year after year with minimal care. The flowers are excellent for cutting and retain their intricate structure when dried, making them a versatile choice for both fresh and dried arrangements.
