Fritillaria Meleagris Mixed Colours
Fritillaria Meleagris Mixed Colours is a delightful spring flowering bulb producing elegant nodding bell-shaped flowers in a beautiful mix of richly chequered purple blooms and soft creamy white flowers. Flowering from April to May and reaching approximately 20cm in height, this charming variety is ideal for naturalising in damp borders, woodland gardens, wildflower meadows and beneath deciduous trees, where it will return year after year in suitable conditions.
Often known as the Snake's Head Fritillary, this distinctive bulb thrives in fertile, moisture-retentive soil and enjoys a position in full sun or partial shade. Its unique chequered pattern and graceful flowers bring natural beauty to spring planting schemes and combine wonderfully with other woodland bulbs and early flowering perennials.
