Begonia Samba Mixed (XL Value Pack)
€8.95
Begonia Samba Mixed is a delightful flower bulb variety known for its double fringed blooms in a vibrant mix of colours, adding charm and elegance to any space. Flowering starts in July and continues throughout the season, with plants growing to a height of 18 cm (7 inches).
To grow Begonia Samba Mixed, choose a semi-shaded location with rich, moist, and well-drained soil. These begonias will also bloom in full sun if required. Plant the bulbs on the soil surface, ensuring the tops are exposed, and space them 5 cm (2 inches) apart. Planting begins in April, once the risk of frost has passed.
For earlier flowering, place the tubers close together in trays containing damp compost and sand. Maintain a temperature of 7-16ºC (45-60ºF) to encourage sprouting. Once the danger of frost is gone, transfer the sprouted tubers to their outdoor growing positions.
Begonia Samba Mixed is perfect for flower beds, borders, and containers on patios and balconies. Its striking double blooms also make it suitable as a houseplant, providing a touch of vibrant colour indoors or out.
