Dahlia Purple Gem
The Dahlia Purple Gem is a stunning cactus variety with rich purple blooms that add a touch of elegance to any garden. Flowering all summer long, this plant grows to a height of 100 cm (40 inches), making it perfect for borders, beds, and containers.
Plant tubers 15 cm (6 inches) deep and space them 60 cm (24 inches) apart. Start planting in well-cultivated, garden soil with ample organic material, beginning from March onwards. Choose a sunny site protected from strong winds for the best results.
Uses: This variety excels as a border or bedding plant, and is also excellent for cut flowers. Shorter varieties can be grown in containers for patios or balconies.
