Dahlia Freya's Paso Doble
€4.95
The Dahlia Freya's Paso Doble is a captivating variety with cream-coloured petals and a vibrant yellow centre, making it a standout choice for any garden. This RHS Award winner blooms all summer long and reaches a height of 100 cm (40 inches), adding elegance to borders and bedding displays.
Plant tubers 15 cm (6 inches) deep, spaced 60 cm (24 inches) apart, starting from March onwards. For optimal growth, plant in well-cultivated garden soil enriched with organic material. Choose a sunny location sheltered from strong winds.
Uses: Perfect for borders, bedding, and cut flower arrangements. Shorter varieties can also thrive in containers on patios or balconies.
Expert Tip: For earlier blooms, start tubers indoors in April using light soil mixed with compost. Keep the soil slightly moist and frost-free. Once established, regularly deadhead to encourage continuous flowering. If cutting for arrangements, select fully developed flowers for the longest vase life.
