Canna Tropicanna, also known as Tropicanna Var. Phasion, from the Select by Taylor’s range is a spectacular summer flowering plant grown as much for its foliage as for its vibrant blooms. Large, dramatic leaves are richly coloured in deep bronze, purple and green, striped with fiery red and orange veins, creating an exotic, architectural presence in the garden. From early summer right through to autumn, tall stems rise above the foliage carrying bright orange flowers that add even more impact. This canna is perfect for bringing a bold, tropical feel to Irish gardens and performs particularly well in borders and large containers.
