Convallaria Majalis Rosea, or Pink Lily of the Valley, is a charming variety known for its fragrant pink blooms that bring a touch of elegance and sweetness to your garden. Flowering all summer long, this low-growing perennial reaches a height of 15 cm (6 inches) and is ideal for naturalising in borders, wild gardens, and areas between shrubs and trees.

Plant the rhizomes 5 cm (2 inches) deep and space them 10 cm (4 inches) apart in humus-rich, moist soil. Lily of the Valley thrives in partial shade, making it a perfect addition to areas with dappled light.

Planting can be done in autumn or spring, and once established, it will spread rapidly, making it an excellent choice for under-planting shrubs. However, due to its spreading nature, it is best planted in less prominent areas of the garden.

Expert Tip: While the Pink Lily of the Valley adds beauty and fragrance, it prefers a more subdued spot in the garden, where it can naturally fill in gaps without overshadowing other plants. Avoid placing it in prime spots of the border as it can spread quickly. Regularly remove spent flowers to maintain the plant’s appearance and vigour.
