Inspired by the wildlife Sally Swannell encounters on her countryside walks, the Hug Rug x Sally Swannell Hare & Shepherd’s Purse Mat captures a quiet moment in nature. The design features an alert hare amongst delicate Shepherd’s Purse, with a colourful butterfly overhead, all illustrated against a soft blue background and framed by a deep green border.

The artwork takes its inspiration from the mixed grassland, farmland and woodland edges where hares are often spotted. Shepherd’s Purse is also part of the varied vegetation hares may feed on, creating a thoughtful connection between the wildlife and botanical elements within the design.

Made in Britain as part of Hug Rug’s Aura collection, this 65 x 85cm indoor mat has a super-soft recycled nylon surface while still being designed to cope with the demands of busy homes. It traps up to 95% of dirt, mud and moisture, making it an attractive and practical choice for entranceways, kitchens, utility rooms and other frequently used spaces.

The recycled rubber non-slip backing helps keep the mat securely in position, while its machine-washable and quick-drying construction makes regular cleaning straightforward. A matching Hare & Shepherd’s Purse Runner is also available for creating a coordinated look throughout the home.
