Allium Ostara - Deep Red Allium

Ostara takes its name after the Germanic Spring goddes Eostre, who was traditionally honoured by her flowers with Ostara colours like Allium Ostara with its deep reddish purple flowers. On stocky and solid stems with wide green leaves, that also stay long and green during flowering time, ornamental onion Ostara is excellent for both borders and containers.

They prefer to be grown in the sheltered semi shaded areas of the garden in a well-drained, fertile soil.
