Chionodoxa Pink Giant

The Chionodoxa is also called glory-of-the-snow. It is a bulbous perennial that can be found on mountainsides in Turkey. It is one of the first bulbs to flower in spring: mid-March to mid-April. The flowers usually have six petals that are soft blue with white centers and grow in small groups.

The Chionodoxa is a beautiful bulbous plant. It is very suitable for naturalising in a border, a meadow, or under trees, shrubs and hedges. The Chionodoxa can withstand a hot or dry summer and easily sows itself. Within a few days it can cover the garden in blue.
