Rostrincula Dependens

Quick Overview

WEEPING "BUDDLEA " - Weeping long pendant panicles of lavender blooms cover this exciting shrub from mid summer till frost. Likes full sun and moist well drained soil.

Not a true Buddleja but this will almost surely be the most unusual plant in your garden. Looks nothing like it's relatives, Salvias! In late summer, long pendant racemes, along side long slender leaves, hang like Christmas ornaments with copious purple pink flowers spikes (like a closed Liatris bloom) that have tiny whiskered blooms that gradually open, traveling slowly down the spike over a period of two months.

Hardy to zone -18 centigrade, where it will grow to 3'x3' . Caramel colored peeling bark. A rare and unusual plant.
