Portuguese Laurel has smaller leaves than common laurel - which makes it easier to trim your hedge neatly - and its pretty red stalks and pink tinged new growth stand out against the dark green, glossy mature foliage.
It grows happily in both full sun and dense shade, perfect for problem areas.
Portuguese Laurel hedging plants should be planted in a single row at 1.5 ft apart |45cm.
Trim to any height required in September.
They can also be grown a lovely clipped cones as well - image shows a mature plant well trimmed
