Persicaria Red Dragon

Grown for its foliage rather than its flowers, 'Red Dragon' is an unusual herbaceous plant for the border or large containers. The sharply-pointed leaves are dark maroon in colour with a darker centre surrounded by a pale white band. It forms a handsome, upright clump and is happy on most soils in full sun or light shade.

To achieve the best effects plant it with contrasting foliage plants such as silver-leaved heucheras or golden leaved grasses. It also looks good in jungle planting schemes, where it associates well with cannas, bamboos and bananas. Height 50cm
