Acer palmatum 'Dissectum'
Acer palmatum Dissectum only grows slowly to be about 1m (3ft) x 1m in 10 years. The foliage is light green and finely cut to give a lace effect. Colourful autumn foliage as the leaves fall. This variety is easy to grow either in a large pot of John Innes Compost, or in the ground where it tolerates most soils and will thrive in sun or part shade.
Very hardy but best planted in a sheltered spot otherwise the edges of the leaves can be damaged. Photo shows a mature plant
