Snowdrops 'Galanthus Elwesii'
Snowdrops 'Galanthus Elwesii' are among the very first flowers to bloom in the new year, often pushing through the frost and snow as early as January. Known for their larger-than-average, elegant white blooms, they bring a welcome touch of brightness to winter gardens. These early-flowering snowdrops are bee-friendly and a proud RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, valued for their reliability and beauty.
Perfect for naturalising, Snowdrops thrive in lawns, rockeries, woodland edges, borders, or containers, returning year after year in greater numbers. They prefer a moisture-retentive soil in partial shade but will tolerate full sun, making them versatile for a variety of planting situations. Plant them in generous groups for the best effect, or create a charming “winter corner” by combining them with other early bloomers such as Anemone Blanda, Iris Reticulata, Chionodoxa, and Eranthis Hyemalis.
