This is a crisp, and predominantly sweet, modern variety from the USA. It was developed by the University of Minnesota specifically for growers in cold climates, and is one of the most cold-hardy of apple varieties.

This all American favourite ‘quality’ variety produces impressive large and particularly striking looking individual apples.
The texture is coarse and crisp with a fizzy texture and the flavour is mild and sweet.
One of its particularly good features is that the fruit stores well into March in normal garden shed conditions. It is also good for salad fruit, is non browning and holds its shape during cooking
Not self fertile, so plant near 1 other different apple tree for pollination
